Sporadic rainfall is likely in different parts of today

Kathmandu: The weather has turned cloudy throughout the country today.

The Kathmandu Valley also has a cloudy sky. Due to the partial influence of the westerly wind and the westerly low-pressure system in the country, the weather has become cloudy.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there will be moderate rainfall in some places in the afternoon. Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari said the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces.

According to him, the cloudy weather started in western Nepal last evening and spread to most of the areas today. Light rain is taking place at a few places in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, according to a bulletin issued by the Division this morning. Light snowfall is taking place at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places in the Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Koshi provinces, and light rainfall at a few places in the rest of the provinces for the next 24 hours. There will be light to moderate snowfall at a few places in the Sudurpashchim, Karnali, and Koshi provinces and at one or two places of Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.

There is also a chance of foggy weather at a few places in Terai and Kathmandu Valley in the morning. The Division has urged the general public to take necessary precautions given the changes in weather conditions.
