Karnali Yaks bid farewell to Shikhar Dhawan (Photos)

Kathmandu: Karnali Yaks has bid farewell to former Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who came to Nepal to play in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Dhawan returned after visiting Everest Base Camp. Along with Dhawan, Karnali Yaks co-owner Ghirendra Ghimire’s team visited Everest Base Camp via helicopter on Sunday.

They spend 3-4 hours in Everest Base Camp. After that, Dhawan returned by Air India Aircraft on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier, he paid homage at Pashupatinath Temple. Dhawan expressed his wish to visit Nepal in upcoming March.

Likewise, he played 4 games from Karnali Yaks side, where he made a half-century and scored 136 runs.  He said that it was a good experience while playing NPL.  ‘It was a good experience, I also got an opportunity to teach Nepali players, ‘said Dhawan’.

Before leaving for India, Karnali Yaks Head Coach Gyanendra Malla, Captain Sompal Kami, and others bid farewell to Dhawan by hugging him and taking an autograph.
