Pokhara Avengers register first victory in NPL; Lumbini Lions defeated by 10 wickets

Kathmandu: Pokhara Avengers have registered their first victory in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Pokhara Avengers chased the target of 171 runs in 16.5 overs, without losing any wickets.

Andries Gous scored a century. Gous was unbeaten at 104 runs. He smashed 12 fours and 5 sixes in 55 balls for the Pokhara Avengers.

Dinesh Kharel also scored a half-century. He was also unbeaten at 61 runs. He smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes out of 46 balls. Lumbini Lions’ bowlers failed to take wickets.

In the first innings, Lumbini Lions scored 170  runs in 20 overs, losing 5 wickets.

Captain Rohit Paudel scored a half-century for the Lumbini Lions. He contributed 95 runs. Paudel smashed 10 fours and 4 sixes in 59 balls.

Tom Moores contributed 45 runs and Sundeep Jora 18 runs for the team.

Bipin Khatri took 2 wickets and Matt Critchley took 1 wicket for Pokhara Avengers.
