Dr. Baikuntha Aryal resigns from National Planning Commission Chief Secretary

Kathmandu: Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, who was designated as National Planning Commission Chief Secretary, has resigned from the post.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers said Dr. Aryal stepped down from his post on Sunday. Dr. Aryal gave his resignation after discussing it with the government.

Corruption case filed against Chief Secretary Aryal

Earlier, the Special Court gave a clean chit to Dr. Aryal in a corruption case.

Dr Aryal was suspended after a case was filed in the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on June 23 (Asar 9), an accusation of being involved in a sticker-print corruption scandal.
