Naya Shakti Nepal's Dil Kumar files candidacy for Mayor of Kirtipur

Kathmandu: Dil Kumar Maharjan has registered his candidacy for the position of Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality on behalf of Naya Shakti Nepal for the upcoming local-level by-election scheduled for Mangsir 16 (December 2).

Maharjan officially filed his nomination at the Office of the Election Officer in Kirtipur on Sunday. Maharjan is the first candidate to register for the position of Mayor in Kirtipur’s by-election.

The Nepal Socialist Party (Naya Shakti) is led by former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.

Earlier, independent candidate Binod Maharjan filed his nomination for the position of Ward Chairperson of Kirtipur Municipality–1.
