Joint inauguration of 40 MW power export to Bangladesh (Photos)

Kathmandu: Nepal has begun exporting of electricity to Bangladesh.

Minister of Energy Deepak Khadka, India’s Minister of Energy Manohar Lal Khattar and Bangladesh’s Ministry of Energy and Water Resource Advisor Mohammad Fazul jointly inaugurated the export of electricity through a virtual session.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) said an income of 38 lakh 32 thousand and 4 hundred rupees will be generated by selling the electricity around 11 hours on Friday.

Likewise, the agreement was made between 3 countries on October 3 (Asoj 17), regarding the export of 40 megawatts of electricity to Bangladesh from Nepal via India.
