Rabi Lamichhane’s custody extended for 10 days more

Kathmandu: The District Court Kaski has permitted to keep Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested in the misappropriation of cooperative fund case, in custody for 10 days for investigation.

A single bench of District Court Kaski’s judge Chandra Kant Poudel on Tuesday, ordered to keep Lamichhane in custody for 10 days. District Attorney’s Office, sought a remand of 25 days, however, the Court added only a remand of 10 days. Police presented Lamichhane in court for the extension of remand, after the remand ended in the Tihar holiday.

Likewise, the court also permitted to keep former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, Leela Prachhai, and Nature Herbs’ Ram Bahadur Khanal in custody for 10 days. Police arrested them for investigating the embezzlement of Surya Darshan Saving and Loan Cooperative.
