Kathmandu: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya will be going on a visit to China, leading a seven-member delegation, to participate in an international conference to be held in Sichuan Province from November 11-13.
Dinesh Panthi, the provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives said the meeting of the Lumbini Province Government on Tuesday, approved the Chief Minister’s visit to China. The Chief Minister will be accompanied by the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Dhanendra Karki, Chief Secretary Mahadev Pantha and other high-level officials of the provincial government during the visit.
Lumbini Province and Sichuan Province established sisterly relations in 2076 BS to further promote cooperation and goodwill between them. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Lumbini province government and Sichuan Province for cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, industry and tourism. Spokesperson Pantha said high-level talks will be held during the visit on implementing the development plans for the overall development of the province and for the expansion of bilateral cooperation and collaboration.
