Kathmandu: The number of visitors is increasing day by day, especially on Saturdays and public holidays.

The length of the Dhap Dam built in the river mouth area of Bagmati’s tributary river Nagmati is 174.7 meters and the breadth is 8 meters. The area of the reservoir is around 15 hectares.

Dhap Dam is a perfect place for finding relaxation from the daily hectic schedule. The cool breezes, greenery, and hills, around the dam, energize one for sure. And the journey towards the dam is itself an adventure. It can be a promising place for a short but memorable hike.

The dam is built in such a way that during the rainy season, it collects the water that falls around the hills, and in the winter season it sends the water to Bagmati through Nagmati.
