ANNISU’s Symbolic Protest by collecting Re 1 for construction of CPN (UML)’s Party Office (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) ‘ANNISU’ has staged a symbolic protest by collecting Re.1 for constructing the party office of CPN(UML).

ANNISU, a student wing closer to the main opposition party CPN (Maoist Centre), demonstrated in front of the Nepal Campus on Sunday.

The demonstrators collected a donation of Re. 1 from the general public for the construction of the CPN (UML) Party Office.

The subject was highlighted Bhat Bhateni Managing Director Min Bahadur Gurung donated land in Kritipur for the construction of the party office CPN(UML).

ANNISU staged the protest after the controversial donation of Gurung to the party.  Although the land has been termed as a donation, various political parties are claiming the act as a form of corruption.
