SAFF Women’s Championship kicks off (Photo Feature)
Kathmandu: The 7th edition of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Championship has kicked off.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Urban Development Prakash Man Singh inaugurated the match. India and Pakistan are competing with each other in an opening match.
ANFA said that the host countries Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, and Bangladesh participated in the SAFF Women’s Championship.
Likewise, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan are in Group A’, whereas Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Maldives are in Group B’.
Nepal will face Bhutan on Friday. The final match of the tournament will be held on October 30 (Kartik 14).
