Domestic and International tourists flock to Parbat during Dashain

Kathmandu: Domestic and international have flocked tourist destinations in Myagdi during this Dashain. Tourists seemed to choose Myagdi to experience their Dashain holidays to spend quality time.

The latest development of tourism infrastructure including a bungee jump, zip line, and the country’s tallest and longest suspension bridge is considered to be among the major factors attracting people to visit the district.

Presently over 1,000 domestic tourists visit Myagdi daily. Local hotelier Suresh KC said that hotels in Kushma Bazar are overwhelmed with visitors, including those from abroad. The area has seen an increase in luxury accommodations, attracting tourists en route to Mustang, who often prefer to stay overnight.

In addition to leisure travelers, educational groups from Chitawan, Biratnagar, Hetauda, Dolakha, Nepalgunj, Bardiya, Dang, Butwal, and Kapilvastu have also been visiting Myagdi.

Operators of the bungee jump and zip line services reported that ticket bookings typically occur a week in advance. Sunil Singh Baniya, an operator at The Adventure Resort, added that Fridays and Saturdays see a higher volume of visitors compared to other days.

Raju Karki, a cliff operator, said that this year they are welcoming more foreign tourists interested in bungee jumping, swinging, rock climbing, and other adventure activities in the area.
