Journey for receiving Tika begins! (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: There is a tradition to receive Dashain Tika from relatives after receiving and offering Tika in the house.

The auspicious time of putting Tika was at 11:36 a.m. Then, people started to visit the houses of their relatives to receive Tika and blessings.

The same bustling is also going on in the streets of Kathmandu. People can be seen traveling towards the houses of their relatives to receive Tika and blessings.

One can see people’s foreheads covered with white and red Tika. Some people are traveling in private and some in public vehicles.

People believe that the tradition of visiting the homes of relatives makes the bond stronger. There is a ritual of receiving Tika, from relatives, till Kojagarat Purnima.
