Metropolitan Police warns to evict Dharmashala (Photos)

Kathmandu: The Metropolitan Police has given warnings to evict the Dharmashala in Gaushala.

The Dharmashala is under the ownership of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT). The meeting between the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, Ward Chairpersons, PADT, and the Marwadi Service Committee failed to reach an agreement. Then, the Metropolitan Police warned of evicting after the meeting failed to reach an agreement.

The Committee has asked the Metropolitan Police to come up with an official document for vacating the place. The Committee said they did not get an official document for the emptying of the place. The committee has given an ultimatum of not emptying the place unless a formal document is received.

The committee members have been demonstrating at the main gate of the Dharmashala. Metropolitan Police have been mobilized in Dharamshala.
