Lamichhane: We join government to know how Singhadurbar works

Kathmandu: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has said that they didn’t join the government by following big and old parties.

Answering the questions asked by the voters, at the Public Hearing session held in his constituency Chitwan 2 on Friday, Chairperson Lamichhane put forth his thoughts.

‘We wanted to know how Singhadurbar works. We joined the government and knew it. When a party joins the government it should be aware of its mechanism. The situation will change next time. It was our strategy to join the government. We didn’t join the government by following old parties,’ said Lamichhane.

‘Why did you join the government? What is the difference between you and old parties?’ participants asked the question to Lamichhane in the hearing session.

‘It’s our strategy to join the government. This will work for tomorrow. We utilized every minute during our tenure in the government. We respect your feeling that we made a mistake by joining the government, but we didn’t make a single mistake by going there’ said Lamichhane.
