Prachanda: Sports connect society

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the sports sector connects the society.

Inaugurating ‘F.M Sujendra Prasad Shrestha 1st Memorial Veteran National Chess Competition 2081’ at Kathmandu on Wednesday, Prachanda glorified the contribution of sports in society.

‘The culture and Sports sector plays a significant role in maintaining national unity, discipline, and dignity in the society,’ said Prachanda, ‘This connects the society.’

‘Sports and culture play a huge role in connecting the society. That’s why, I have been paying special attention to these sectors since I became the Prime Minister for the first time,’ said Prachanda. He said that the improvements in these sectors would be a great lesson for the society.’
