Demonstration against Constitution at Maitighar (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: Various parties and groups have chanted anti-constitutional slogans against the Constitution in Maitighar Mandala

Rajendra Mahato’s led- party Rastriya Mukti Kranti Party, chanted, who reached Maitighar Mandala on Thursday, demanding not to increase the river’s standards started chanting anti-constitutional slogans.

During the protest, demonstrators even slept on the street and chanted slogans. Along with Mahato, Suman Sayami and others participated in the demonstration.

Likewise, the Supreme Court ordered not to construct any physical structure with a periphery of 20 meters from the rivers including Bagmati, Bishnumati, and other rivers. Locals residing near river banks also participated in the demonstration due to the fear of losing their houses.
