IDEA Excellence Award-2024

Kathmandu: IDEA Nepal, an umbrella organization of the Interior Designers, has honored Interior Designers in various genres.

IDEA Nepal honored 12 Interior Designers in 12 genres during the “IDEA Excellence Award-2024.” Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts,  Naradamani Hartmchali, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Interior Designer Bishwottam Shrestha received the main award; “Designer of the Year.” Rabin Shilpakar won the “Heritage Designer of The Year. ” Shalisha Shakya was awarded “Sustainable Designer of the Year.”

Other prizes were also distributed in three categories; A, B, and C. In Category C “EMERGING DESIGNER”, Anisha Maharjan won the title. Yashashwee Shrestha became the first runner-up. Bini Dangol became the second runner-up.

In Category B “RESIDENTIAL (IDEA INNOVATIVE DESIGNER AWARD)”, IA. Bishwattam Shrestha, ID. Romi Hyomba, and IA. Nishsa Tuladhar won the award. ID. Rabina Shrestha, ID. Puja Sharma and IA. Bishwattam Shrestha was awarded the Category B COMMERCIAL /CORPORATE (IDEA INNOVATIVE DESIGNER AWARD). In Category B HOSPITALITY (IDEA INNOVATIVE DESIGNER AWARD), ID. Rabina Shrestha, ID. Chadani Shilpakar and ID. Salisha Shakya.

In Category A “RESIDENTIAL (IDEA PROFESSIONAL DESIGNER AWARD)”, ID. Rajani Shakya Vajracharya, ID. Samiksha Agrawal and ID. Juna Bhattarai was awarded. ID. Mukesh Maharjan, ID. Juna Bhattarai, and ID. Tejita Vaidya Amatya won the Category A “COMMERCIAL / CORPORATE (IDEA PROFESSIONAL DESIGNER AWARD).” ID. Ranjani Shakya Vajracharya, ID. Rekha Shahi and ID. Tejita Vaidya Amatya was honored in the Category A “HOSPITALITY (IDEA PROFESSIONAL DESIGNER AWARD).”

IDEA Nepal organized the event intending to create a platform for designers to showcase their skills.

According to the organizers, the event aimed to provide exposure to the designers and added a new dimension for promoting the designers.

IDEA Nepal has been advocating the rights of the interior designers of Nepal since its establishment.
