Subash Chandra Nembang's memorial day today

Kathmandu: Today is the first memorial day of the Constituent Assembly Chairperson and then Vice-Chairperson of the CPN (UML) Subash Chandra Nembang.

A memorial meeting will be held at the CPN (UML) office at Chyasal in Lalitpur this afternoon to commemorate the departed leader. Party Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the memorial meeting, according to the Prime Minister’s private secretariat.

UML central office secretary Bhishma Adhikari said other senior leaders of the party would also participate in the memorial meeting.

Nembang was elected to the National Assembly member in 2048 and 2051 BS and won parliamentary elections in 2056, 2074, and 2079 BS and Constituent Assembly elections in 2064 and 2070 BS from Ilam.
