Preparation of impeachment against Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar

Kathmandu: The ruling parties have prepared to register an impeachment motion against Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar.

A Nepali Congress lawmaker said preparations are going on to register the motion of impeachment in Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli proposed impeachment against Deputy Speaker Rana in the ruling coalition meeting held at Baluwatar on Monday.

A leader, who participated in the meeting, said the leaders present in the meeting agreed upon the possibility of filing the motion against Rana.

PM Oli’s party CPN (UML) issued a circular to its lawmakers not to leave Kathmandu till September 19 (Asoj 3).

Earlier, Deputy Speaker Magar’s letter to the American Embassy was made public. The letter was against the dignity of the office.
