Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah has objected to the federal government’s dual policy regarding the criteria for physical structure.
According to the new standards, Mayor Shah stated that the houses inside the KMC would not be destroyed, and if such houses needed to be demolished then the government should pay compensation.
Through social media, Mayor Shah asked the government, ‘Who will make the law? Who is leading the government? Who is in the Constitutional Council to appoint judges in the court?
He further wrote ‘Making river standards and law on own, bringing judge from the own council. And own government. Own rights to make and amend the law. And, blame to Kathmandu Metropolitan while implementing the existing law and judgment? Stop misleading the public by spreading misinformation.’
