Deuba coins Balen as ‘Apolitical’

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and the ruling party Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has coined Kathmandu Metropolitan City ( KMC) Mayor Balen Shah as apolitical.

Interacting with the leaders at his residence, Budhanilkantha, on Wednesday, Deuba made those comments on Mayor Shah. Deuba, along with Kathmandu CPN (UML) Chairperson Deepak Niroula and other leaders, referred to Mayor Shah as apolitical.

Citing Deuba, Niraula said, ‘Apolitical people incite the crowd, but the responsible parties should stop it.’

On a different note, Deuba said the sloganeering, which took place on the occasion of the Gaura Festival in Tundikhel, was pre-planned.
