Why Mayor Shah’s status against CPN (UML) Lawmaker was deleted?

Kathmandu: The post written by Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balen Shah,  against the leader of the ruling party CPN (UML), has been deleted.

The post which received 18 thousand comments is not on Facebook now.  Demanding the arrest of Lumbini Province’s CPN(UML) Lawmkaer Rekha Sharma, Mayor Shah wrote a status 2 days ago.

The post, accusing Sharma of exploiting and torturing a girl for 7 years, has been removed. There is curiosity regarding why and how the status, along with the photo of Province lawmaker Sharma, got deleted.

The party cadres had protested against the status. The cadres claimed that Sharma protected the girl and educated her since class 3. After the retort from CPN (UML), Mayor Balen wrote another long status.

Mayor Shah accused the party of attempting to spread illusion, by bringing half-page of the court’s verdict. KMC rescued the girl from Sharma’s house who hadn’t met her parents for 8 years, she was also beaten up and subjected to excessive labor.

Mayor Shah said that the final judgment of the High Court has opened the way for an investigation of Sharma.
