Scooter rider dies in road accident

Kathmandu: A scooter rider has died in a road accident that occurred at Bardale of Rampur Municipality-10 in Palpa.

The accident took place when the scooter (Lu 44 Pa 2431) heading to Ramtar from Rampur Bardale along the Kaligandaki corridor met an accident on Monday.

The driver is identified as Yam Bahadur Magar (40 years old) from Rampur-10 of the district. Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Sugandha Shrestha said that Magar was rushed to Rampur Hospital for treatment, but the doctor declared him dead in no time.

The police said that the scooter lost balance and hit a divider on the road.
