Former PM Nepal: Youths should wake up against drug addiction

Kathmandu: CPN (Unified Socialist) chairperson and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that youth and students must wake up against drug addiction.

In the awareness program against drug abuse organized by the Gaikhura Youth Club of Dolakha on Friday, chairperson Nepal said that the role of youth and students will be important to protect them from drug addiction. He further said that the youths should come up with awareness programs against drug trafficking and abuse.

Former Prime Minister Nepal also stressed strong laws against drug smuggling and abuse. On that occasion, CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Ganga Karki, Nepali Congress leader Ajaya Babu Siwakoti, Special Court Deputy Attorney Krishna Bhandari, and former Ambassador Dr Bishnuhari Nepal expressed their opinion.
