Muna Pandey’s murder suspect went to apartment for robbery

Kathmandu: Police have said that the murder of Nepali Student Muna Pandey was done for robbery in Texas, USA.

The Neppyork said it was revealed in the statement given by the suspect Bobby Singh Shah (51 years old) who was arrested on Wednesday.

Harris County Attorney’s Office has filed a case of murder and illegal weapon against Shah. He went to Pandey’s apartment on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and knocked on the door, Muna who opened the door to inquire was pushed into her room by Shah.

Police arrest suspect in Muna Pandey’s murder case

According to CCTV Footage released by Police, suspect Shah came out one hour later. A neighbor also told the police that they heard some burst noise on the same night.

Muna was found dead on Monday at 6: 45 p.m. Police found her with wounds created by bullet shots on her chest. Police said that 1 bullet was also shot on the back of her head.

Police present Shah in the court on Thursday. The Court has refused to release Shah on bail. It has been found that Shah was jailed several times before.

Neppyork said that in the indictment registered against Shah, the sentence of life imprisonment, till hanging to death, has been demanded.

Muna (21 years old) went to the USA on 2021, and was studying nursing course at Houston Community College.
