Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that he had never seen a damaged sports ground like Dashrath Stadium.
Speaking on a program on Thursday, PM Oli said that the Stadium was unbearably muddy.
‘Dashrath Stadium is badly damaged. I am used to watching games after being released from prison in 2044 B.S. I have also been a personal spectator. I never witnessed such bad conditions on the ground. It is muddy at the moment,’ said PM Oli.
Similarly, PM Oli expressed that the match against Sri Lanka reflected the disgrace of the nation.
‘I felt like the nation lost its reputation when watching a match. Now, this situation must not come. We must even be able to put a great game even where there is no parapet,’ said PM Oli.
Likewise, he said that there must not be other programs, except those relating to sports, in the stadium. ‘If there is a need to play other games, its required infrastructures must be constructed. The stadium reached this state due to its misuse, ‘ said PM Oli.
