Two killed, 27 injured in bus accident

Kathmandu: Two people have died and 27 others sustained injuries when a bus met with an accident on the Surkhet Road of the Ratna highway near Ranjha Chowk in Banke district.

Deputy Superintendent Narayan Dangi of the District Police Office Banke said the accident happened as a passenger bus with registration number plate Bhe 1 Kha 2128 coming towards Nepalgunj from Dang became uncontrolled on Thursday. Dhana Bahadur Oli(60-year-old) and Santosh Bhusal (24) of Tulasipur, Dang died in the accident.

Likewise, the injured are undergoing treatment at the Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj and in the Kohalpur-based Teaching Hospital. Police said an investigation is going on into the cause of the accident.
