Nepali girl murdered in Texas

Kathmandu:  A Nepali girl Muna Pandey has been murdered in Houston, Texas.

Police said that Pandey (21 years old) was shot dead in her apartment on Monday. After receiving the information, Police went to the scene at 5:30 p.m. in Houston. There were wounds on the chest; created by bullet shots.

According to a statement from the Houston Police Department, Pandey was shot multiple times. Pandey, a resident of Bhojpur, went to the USA in 2021 and was pursuing her nursing studies at Houston Community College.

Nepal Association of Houston First Vice Chairperson Drona Gautam said Pandey’s mother, who is in Kathmandu has been informed about the tragic incident. It has not been clear whether she was living alone or with someone else in the apartment.

According to Neppyork.com, her phone was switched off since Saturday and her murder was reported on Monday.

Houston Police Department said no weapon was found at the crime scene and the investigation is going on.
