Mayor Shah: Party leaders mislead Supreme Court’s order to dismiss settlement as Metropolitan decision

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balen Shah said that party leaders and cadres have spread illusion by misinterpreting the Supreme Court’s order to dismiss the settlement on the bank of the rivers as the decision of KMC.

Mayor Shah said that after the Supreme Court’s order came on social media, metropolitan listing the order of the Court said that only 20 meters of the 40-meter Tukucha in Bagmati, Bishnumati was restricted from construction.

Likewise, he said the public is not being stopped from using their land, as per the Court order.
