PM Oli: Agreement on transitional justice after 18 years is matter of happiness

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has said it is a matter of for the advocates of peace as an agreement, regarding the transitional bill, has been reached after 18 years.

Addressing the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, PM Oli clarified that the government would facilitate the implementation of the bill, which is tabled and is afoot of being passed by the house.

‘There was conflict in our country. We moved forward with the peace process This process is original (homegrown). This process is moving forward sometimes slowly and sometimes resolved. We have advanced the peace progress as a model for the world,’ said PM Oli.

Earlier PM Oli said, ‘We have adopted the law related to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappearance Persons (CIEDP) as the last installment of the peace process. It has been passed unanimously by the political task force and the relevant committee of the parliament. In this sense, I want to express my happiness. This could be our success which could be useful for the world.’
