Two houses collapsed in landslide

Kathmandu: Two houses were collapsed in Dilashaini of Baitadi due to a landslide triggered by rain.

The house of Ammar Bohara of Daunkhola in Dilashaini Rural Municipality-3 was damaged. A spokesperson at the District Police Office, Police Inspector Balram Pandey said that all the crops and other possessions inside Bohara’s house were destroyed. The houses of locals Naresh Bohara and Bahadur Bohara are also at risk due to the landslide.

Dilashaini rural municipality chair Santosh Joshi said relief and rehabilitation works would be carried out by the local government to the landslide victims. Meanwhile, the District Administration Office has urged the locals to take necessary precautions as there may be disasters during the rainy season.
