PM Oli: Constitution amendment for progress of country

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the constitution will be amended for the progress of the country.

Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the 17 Central Committee Members including CPN(UML) Vice Chairperson Guru Baral on Sunday, the Prime Minister commented on the constitution amendment.

‘The constitution will be amended for the progress of the country, development of the society, and for the progress of the people’ said PM Oli.  He said,’ The constitution is a manuscript that is amended and revised.’

‘Those who carry a regressive agenda are protesting,’ said PM Oli. He said NC and CPN(UML) are the parties who fought for democracy, and the amendment of the constitution will strengthen democracy.

‘The amendment will increase the practicality, acceptability, and effectiveness of the constitution. That will be taken care of,’ said PM Oli.
