Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s foreign visit will begin from Thailand.
PM Oli will go on the 3rd week of September, to attend the 6th BIMSTEC in Bangkok, Thailand.
Likewise, The 6th summit of BIMSTEC is on September 3rd (Bhadra 18) and September 4th (Bhadra 19). According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the homework for the visit is going on as per the direction received from the Prime Minister’s Office.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Official said ‘ We have begun the preparation of the visit,’. Nepal became a member of BIMSTEC in 2004. Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand are members of BIMSETC.
Likewise, preparation for PM Oli’s visit to the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations also going on. The Nepali delegation along with PM Oli is doing homework for the participation in the General Assembly on September 10.
United Nations will also be organizing the ‘Summit for Future’ on September 23 and 24. Climate change, achievement of sustainable development goals and contemporary challenges will be discussed at the summit.
