Two youths killed in Jhapa road mishap

Kathmandu: Two persons have been killed in a road accident on the Postal Highway at Haldibari Rural Municipality-5 in Jhapa district.

The accident took place on Thursday. Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police (SI) Purna Prasad Gautam said that a pick-up van hit a motorcycle, killing both the motorcyclist and pillion rider.

SI Gautam said that Prem Prasain of Haldibari Rural Municipality-5 (31 years old) and pillion rider Dikes Karki of Barahakshetra Municipality-10, who were critically injured in the mishap, pronounced dead immediately after they were taken to the B and C Hospital in Birtamod, Jhapa.
