Shree Airlines Air Hostess: Misbehaved in sky, Handcuffed in runway

Dhangadi: A youth has been arrested for misbehaving with an air hostess of the Shree Airlines airplane. The incident occurred on the Kathmandu-Dhangadhi flight on Tuesday evening.

According to a Dhangadhi Airport Police source, Shibaraj Ojha, who is a resident of Godavari Municipality-1, Kailali, misbehaved with an air hostess.

Ojha projected his leg towards the air hostess. He was sitting in seat number 1. The seat is just in front of the seat of the air hostess. Ojha teased the air hostess, who was sitting in front of him.

Despite the repeated requests, Ojha didn’t stop his misbehavior. Then, the air hostess informed the captain.

Captain Sugam Ghimire informed about the incident to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Dhangadhi. The CAAN informed the police. Police handcuffed him immediately after the airplane landed.

According to Gajendra Shahi, the Dhangadhi Station Manager of Shree Airlines, Ojha did not agree to buckle seat belts and started teasing the air hostess. He placed his leg on the handle of the belt and created difficulties to walk through the gallery. He tried to place his feet when the air hostess came to serve water.

The flight, scheduled for 4 p.m., departed at 4:50 p.m. Captain Sugam Ghimire and Alish Acharya were flying the airplane.

Ojha has been kept in custody in the District Police Office at the moment. In such cases, there is a provision of diverting the airplane but the captain continues the flight towards the destination.
