Department of Foreign Employment said that there was an early preparation to recruit 800 caregivers but the quota was increased to 2000 caregivers.

Israel increases care giver quota

Kathmandu: Israel has increased the quota of caregivers to 2000.

Israel increased the quota to 2000 for Nepali caregivers to work in care centers on a long-term basis. Department of Foreign Employment said that there was an early preparation to recruit 800 caregivers but the quota was increased to 2000 caregivers. Out of 2000, 1000 are the main candidates and 1000 are alternatives.

Likewise, the Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari, and Israel Ambassador to Nepal Noha Hamdy Ahmed agreed to increase the quota.

Department Director General Dandu Raj Ghimire said the added quota would be fulfilled from the current application. Around 3000 applications have already been received.

The Department said out of the 3000 applicants, 2000 will be selected. The application deadline is today.
