Nepal Rastriya Bank prepares to publicize monetary policy

Kathmandu: Nepal Rastriya  Bank has planned to bring monetary policy.

The Bank has called a meeting of the Board of Directors to approve monetary policy for the current financial year 2024/25.

According to the bank’s source preparations have been made to public the monetary policy on Friday.  Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Poudel agreed to publicize the monetary policy on Friday.

For 2 days, a discussion on monetary policy was held between Governor Adhikari and Minister Poudel at Sighadurbar. Source said the date of publicizing the monetary policy could be shifted, if the board members publicizing the monetary policy have their own opinion or ask for time to submit their suggestions.

Likewise, monetary policy is expected to address the neglectful in the economy. Governor Adhikari this time, indicated to bring some loose monetary policy. The new government has said making the economy workable is its first agenda.
