PM Oli to take vote of confidence

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will take a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives (HoR).

PM Oli will take a vote of confidence on July 21 (Shrawan 6). According to the Constitution, a vote of confidence should be taken from the parliament within 30 days of being appointed as Prime Minister. However, it is going to be taken within a week of the appointment.

Oli was appointed as Prime Minister on July 14 (Asar 30) and took an oath of office and secrecy on Monday.

Likewise, the decision to take a vote of confidence was fixed after PM Oli discussed it with some Ministers and Whips of the ruling party. CPN(UML) Parliamentary Party Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula said PM Oli is prepared to take a vote of confidence.
