KMC begins footpath extension (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has begun the process to expand the footpath in New Road, after the order from  Patan High Court.

The High Court judges Dhurvraj Nand and Prakash Kharel gave an interim order not to implement the letter written by the Division Road Office to the KMC to stop the footpath extension in New Road.

Likewise, a legal way has been opened for KMC to proceed with the expansion of footpaths on New Road. KMC by the order began the work of expanding the footpaths in New Road on Wednesday.

KMC had processed the work of widening the footpaths by clearing the parking lot on New Road, But the work was stopped by the Division of Road saying KMC extending the footpaths without taking permission.
