Simaltal bus accident: Dead body found in Narayani

Kathmandu: The rescue team, which is searching dead bodies of the passengers of two busses that were swept away by landslides into the Trishuli River on Friday morning at Simaltal, has been found dead.

The rescue team found the man dead in the middle of the Narayani River, Golaghat, Chitwan. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the dead body of a man, around 30-35 years old, was floating in the middle of the river,

The families of those who have gone missing in the accident that led to two passenger buses plunging into the Trishuli River in Chitwan have demanded that the search be made more effective. The identification of the body has not been completed.

The police said the team is trying to identify whether the body is of one of the passengers of the buses or of somebody else.

The relatives of the onboard passengers have requested the concerned authorities to mobilize all the forces using the necessary technology and tools to search for their loved ones.

Two passenger buses including one heading to Gaur from Kathmandu (03-001 Kha. 2495) and another going to Kathmandu from Birgunj (03-006 Kha. 1516) were swept away by landslides into the Trishuli River on Friday morning at Simaltal, falling under Bharatpur metropolis-29.
