Kathmandu: The water level in the rivers including the Bagmati, Bishnumati, Dhobikhola, and Hanumante, has risen due to the incessant rainfall since Friday night.

The premises around the Teku, UN Park, have been submerged. The water flow in this area is comparatively high as the area lies in the confluence of the Bagmati and Bishnumati rivers.

The vegetable market in Balkhu has been submerged. The government has requested everyone to remain alert in this area.

The Nepal Police has started a riverbank patrolling after the water level of rivers and influents in the Kathmandu Valley increased sharply in the wake of incessant rainfall.

The police vehicles are on constant watch along the riverside- Bagmati, Bishnumati, Manohara, and Hanumante rivers. Mainali however informed no water-induced incident was reported so far in the valley. The security personnel from all three districts in the valley were kept on standby.
