Gandaki Province Assembly: Finance Minister Dr. Gurung's apology removes obstructed provincial assembly meeting

Kathmandu: Gandaki Province Assembly Finance Minister Dr. Takraj Gurung’s apology has removed the provincial assembly meeting obstruction.

In the meeting of the Province Assembly on Friday, Dr. Gurung said that he updated the points where the mistake was made and made it available to the members.

CPN(UML) Member Lil Bahadur Thapa Magar raised the issue at Thursday’s meeting by saying that there was a difference between the total expenditure estimate of item 138 and the total income estimate of item 139 of the budget statement presented in the provincial assembly.

The opposition parliamentarians suspected that the number of resources to be spent didn’t match the total budget in the budget statement, after that the meeting of the provincial assembly was obstructed.

The first meeting was adjourned for 10 minutes on Thursday. The second meeting was obstructed due to dissatisfaction over an answer of Finance Minister Gurung.
