Kathmandu: The Member of Parliament (MP) Amresh Kumar Singh has said the dictatorship is being born in the name of populism. Addressing the parliament meeting on Wednesday during the zero hour, MP Singh commented on the effect of the populism.
MP Shah coined the name of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra ‘Balen’ Shah, he said, ‘Hitler was also elected. But, what happened to Germany because of Hitler? Everybody is clapping for populism. Does Balen want to make Nepal Germany?’
The demonstration of the Scrap Traders Struggle Committee is going on in Kathmandu. They started demonstrating after KMC mobilized the dozer in the place, where the scrap vendors used to store the collected scraps.
Connecting the incident, MP Singh said, ‘Is Balen trying to move on with distinction? Is Balen trying to finish justice with the support of populism? This is the land of justice, we have constitutional recognition. This is a republic state. Even a poor man needs to experience justice.’
