TIA to be closed for half an hour

Kathmandu: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will be closed for half an hour.

The TIA will be closed for half an hour, on Monday, due to the practice session related to aviation, safety, medical, and rescue. According to TIA the landing and take off will be closed from 1: to 1:30 p.m.

‘Regarding the course of the exercise, black smoke in the sky around the airport and increased activity of fire brigade, security personnel ambulance, and other activities. Also during the exercise operation, the airport will be closed from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. resulting in an effect of flights’ mentioned in the notice.

According to the International Civil Aviation Organization Standards and Airport Emergency Plan, the exercise of Airport Emergency Planning is taking place.
