Kathmandu: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has said the economy is not able to return to its track.
Answering the queries raised by parliamentarians on the budget in the parliamentary meeting on Sunday, Minister Pun made those statements. ‘The economy has not returned to its track, the government is working hard for it, ‘said Minister Pun.
He further added, ‘There was a shortage of resources while making the budget. An economic growth of around 3.9% is expected in the context of contraction in the national economy. Last year it was estimated at 1.9 %. Compared to the previous data, this is better,’ said Pun.
Likewise, he claimed that the budget boosted the morale of the youth and private sector. ‘We have budgeted only to the extent of being accepted by the evidence. We have budgeted only in a few essential areas, which can be preserved by our production. We have not utilized the budget on other unnecessary places,’ said Minister Pun.
