Heat waves likely in Western Terai

Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted the possibility of excessive hot weather in the districts of western Terai in the upcoming three days.
The Division has asked the residents there to apply precautions to keep themselves safe from hot weather. The Division said there are chances of heat waves in the Terai belt of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces.
The temperature in some areas in the western Terai has been recorded at more than 40 degrees Celsius over the past few days.
