Ministry of Foreign Affiars begins intiative to get visa for Sandeep Lamichhane

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has begun diplomatic initiatives.

The Ministry began diplomatic after the USA refused to give a visa to Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane , who applied to participate in the upcoming T-20 World Cup to be held in the USA and West Indies.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Sources, the initiative began at the USA Embassy through the US Department of Foreign Affairs. USA Embassy refused to give a visa to Lamichhane, who was preparing to go to the USA to participate in the upcoming T-20 World Cup.

Likewise, Lamichhane shared the visa rejection on social media. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) suspended Lamichhnae after the Kathmandu District Court convicted him guilty in a rape case of a minor girl. But, his suspension was lifted after the Patan High Court acquitted him in the rape case.

The criticism has been going on after the T-20 World Cup Host country attempting to stop the player from playing the World Cup. The fans are criticizing in USA Embassy Facebook page. However, the USA Embassy has not given any official response.

CAN had send important papers to National Sports Council. The Council after studying it passed down to Ministry of Sports and Ministry Sports to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
