Kathmandu: Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri has said Nepali Congress (NC) committed to a wrong task in the parliament.
Minister Giri said obstruction of NC would establish the party as a stigma in history. He said that it was the responsibility of the NC to remove the obstruction after the decision to form a parliamentary inquiry committee.
‘We have already agreed upon forming the parliamentary inquiry committee. The task force has been formed. Activities of the task force are also going on. NC should not have obstructed the house session after this. But, NC did a wrong action, made an error,’ said Minister Giri.
He said the task force of the committee will be finishing the remaining work of the Terms of Reference (TOR) by tomorrow. He said, ‘We will immediately conduct work and make the task force conclude. It must have been concluded yesterday. A discussion between the major leaders took place yesterday. Responsibilities were assigned, and we stayed but it didn’t work.’
Now, the NC put forward their demand of mentioning the name of the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the TOR. But the ruling coalition has not agreed upon it.
