Kathmandu: The opposition parties have decided to listen to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s answer.
The decision was made in a meeting, held at Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s office in the parliament building at New Baneshwor, on Sunday.
The opposition leaders said they decided to permit the house session to run smoothly, only after being satisfied with Minister Lamichhnane’s answer. The leader said that the remaining scheduled work would be affected in the parliament if the answer was unreliable.
Earlier NC held a meeting with the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal (JSPN), Loktantra Samajwadi Party (LSP), and others before the start of the house session.
Likewise, all participating leaders in the meeting were in favor of forming a parliamentary inquiry committee in a cooperative embezzlement case.
The meeting held between the Nepali Congress, CPN(UML), and CPN (Maoist Centre) at Baluwatar on Saturday, decided to form a parliamentary inquiry committee.
Task force meeting begins for preparing TOR for parliamentary inquiry committee
A task force has also been formed to decide the Terms of Reference (TOR) of the committee. The task force meeting was held on Sunday.
